My name is Karl Erik Juthans
What began as an interest, grew into a Love, and has become a profession. Karl has weaved his way through different walks of life and got tattooed more and more along the way.
Hand poking tattoos and tapping tattoos trace their technique and roots back to multiple cultures and this style in particular is a bit different. For example, the Samoan and Polynesian tattooing techniques utilizes two tools to tap the piece onto the skin. Another variation is the traditional Japanese style of tattooing, which involves the use of a long rod to ink the tattoo into place. American Hand poked techniques utilize a single dot at a time to create an image in the skin.
The artist tries to remake the sketch of the world that is before him, to give it "the style" - The coherence and unity, that it lacks. He selects the elements of the world and freely combines them in order to create a value that escapes man continuously, as the artist perceives and tries to salvage this perspective from the flux of his own history.
From this "point of view"; ART would be a way of reshaping the world beyond its factual forms.
Karl, who apprenticed with Tattoo Adam, went about learning how to tattoo and doing tattoo work the right and legal way! He studied, put in the time, and passed the tests. Solidifying his career as a tattooer.

Karl also completed his commercial pilots licence and can captain a helicopter. He enjoyed sailing around the Hawaiian islands, spending most of his time as a crew member off the famous Waikiki beach catamarans. He jumped in at the new opportunity and accomplished tattoos for people from all around the world. In the time since his tattoo work began, he even had the chance to do some pieces on previous trips around the globe. Starting with his first tattoo in Queenstown, New Zealand; to giving and receiving tattoos on the island of Oahu, Hawaii island; California; Arizona; Louisiana U.S.A; Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada; and as far as Manila, Philippines. Karl is looking forward to where tattooing will take him next!
